Yesterday I spent one entire day with my dad.
I mean, not one entire days doing different things in the same house and having great conversations like "what do you want to eat for lunch?"
"I don't know, what do we have?"
"Well..."
and end up having pastas together for 15mins.
No, I mean one entire day with my dad, doing things together!
First, he took me hiking.
Usually, I don't go hiking with my dad because we don't have the same goals.
My goals: get some fresh air, exercize but not over exercize, picnic at some point and go back for a nap (the nap is definitely the best).
His goals: go as high as possible, walk as long as you are not dead ; if dead, eat something and walk again.
So, usually, if we go hiking together, we fight, and/or I cry, it always ends badly.
But yesterday, he decided to make efforts and he was incredibly nice: he was like
"when you're tired we can stop"
"if it's too hard you just tell me"
etc
What did they do to my dad
Anyway, it was a really nice walk.
Then, in the evening, he cooked dinner for me
I am so not used to get any attention from him that I almost cried (well, I actually did).
I hope there are more days like yesterday!
Maybe I will get to know my dad at last... who knows??
