You finally got the guts to call the customer and they didn't answer their phone. Now you are stuck listening to a voice mail recording and face a difficult decision - to leave or not to leave... that is the question!

I say you should always leave a voice mail... this assumes, however, that you had something valuable to say in the first place.

What do you do? If you're like most people, you will leave your typical follow-up message of, "Hello Mr Smith, this is Eric with XYZ Roofing. I'm calling to follow-up on the quote we louis vuitton bags reviewed. My number is 888-8888. Give me a call as soon as you can."

Sound like something you've said before? Of course it does!

Now here's the bad news... THIS IS NOT FOLLOW-UP!

Here is what your customer hears when you call to "follow-up" - "Hey, I'm the salesman you met briefly. Just wanted to see if you're ready to give me your money. Give me a call back so I can figure out how you'd like to pay."

I wonder why nobody is calling you back...

What can you do to get a voice mail message returned? Try giving them a reason to return your message. This is done by providing something new that customers perceive as beneficial to them, their companies or BOTH!

Here is my personal challenge to you...

Write down your voice mail message prior to calling the customer. Ask yourself, "Would I call someone back if they left me this message"? If you only leave voice mails that you would return, chances are your customers will feel obligated to Louis Vuitton Handbags return them as well.

As you can see, it's all about leaving information in a louis vuitton for men way that moves the customer to action. Oddly enough, you'll find that your roof sales drastically increase when your calls are returned! Shocker, huh?

Not sure where to start? Try these ideas the next time you need to follow-up with a customer...

-Present options or add-ons related to your original proposal

-Discuss scheduling and time-sensitive elements

-Provide customer testimonials that relate to the customer's specific project

-Send pictures of similar projects that they can relate to

-Invite customers to see a similar project "in-progress"
