子供の頃の話だ
-Something that happened to me
when I was a little boy.


嵐の後―
There was a storm.


すごい数のヒトデが
浜に打ち上げられた
And thousands and thousands
of starfish were washed up on the shore.


少女が必死に
ヒトデを海に戻すのを見て―
And thre was this beautiful little girl
was running down the beach
and she was picking up the starfish.

She was frantically throwing
them back into the ocean.


私は声をかけた
“無意味だよ　全部は救えない”
When I saw her doing this,
I said to her, "Why are you doing that?

You can only save a few before they die.
What difference does it make?"



その子は―
And she looked at me and she said...


“このヒトデにとっては―”
"To that one,
it makes a difference."


“無意味じゃないわ”
"To that one, it makes a difference,"
that little girl said.



確かにヒトデを助けた時―
And she was right.
And at that very moment, she was making
a difference for that starfish...


彼女とヒトデの間には
絆が生まれた
and she was making a difference
for herself too because she
was connected to that starfish.


他の命とかかわり合う時
人は真に生きる
And that's what life is all about.
Connecting.

In fact, that's the only time
you're ever alive, really,
is when you're connecting.

ほんまかいなぁ〜〜〜 Is that true?


って感じなのですが、確かに早起きすると気分がいい。
I'm not sure about that, but actually it makes me feel good.

別に上の本読んだわけじゃないんやけど、アマゾンで“早起き”で検索したらトップで出てきたんで、「早起きの図」いうことで画像張ってみたのぉ。 I've never read the book above. I just put the image as an "morning person's image" because the book came out first when I searched by keywords "early rising".



そんなわけで、今日はすっごい久々に、６時前に起きて走ってみた。
So, today I got up before 6 and went out to run. Long time no run in the morning!



ここ２、３ヶ月は毎日夜走ってたんやけど、これからは朝にしよう
Though I ran every night for the past couple of months, I gonna change the time into the early morning.

だから今日から、 So from today,　「むずかしい」の代わりに「おもしろいなぁ」を使ってみて try to use "so interesting" instead of "difficult"　常に all the time!　するとあなたは他の人たちにとっておもしろい人になり Then you will be interesting to other people and　他の人たちはあなたを好きになります they will like you　なぜならあなたは他の人たちのことを「おもしろい」と思っているからです。 because you think they are "interesting".
