U2 singer Bono taken to hospital after heart scare

U2 frontman Bono was taken to hospital last week following heart palpitations while holidaying in the South of France.



Reports have just surfaced that the singer, 51 was rushed by his wife to hospital after complaining of chest pains last Wednesday (August 17th.)



Bono, real name Paul Hewson, was discharged after a few hours at Princess Grace Memorial Hospital and ordered to take plenty of rest.




After being checked out by a heart specialist the rockstar was given the all-clear.



The singer was spotted relaxing in Monaco the following day with wife Ali, plus friends Julian Lennon and designer John Roca, the Irish Independent reports.

The hospital visit follows a separate health scare last year when Bono injured his back while training on tour, requiring emergency surgery.



U2 had to postpone their tour commitments, playing their Glastonbury booking twelve months after the planned date.



The band recently concluded their mammoth 360?? world tour in Canada after playing to over seven million people in 30 countries.
