The safety use of food ingredients

Food additives are chemicals that become part of a food product, and they are added to keep them fresh or to enhance their colour, flavour or texture. The benefits of food additives are various, they perform a variety of useful functions in foods that consumers often take for granted. There are thousands of ingredients used to make foods in our life, whatever food around you contains kinds of food ingredients.

What are food preservatives and additives? Most foods contain enzymes or acids that cause them to lose desirable characteristics almost immediately during preparation. Food colouring is another common used food additive. Food colouring additives are dyes, pigments or substances added or applied to a food or beverage. E171 titanium dioxide is also a food coloring that provides a barrier between different colors and increases opacity in some sauces; food color red rice red is mainly used as a colorant for beverages and other acidic foods.
