In Japanese class today, we had a to decide on which topic we'd like to do an in-depth study on. The project had to relate to Japanese youth culture.
Linda chose to do her project on renewable technology. Savanah chose hers on Japanese fashion. Asuka had a lot to say today, especially about fashion. She gave a lot of insight to Savanah.
I decided to do mine on katakana english. I just can't see why a large proportion of Japanese people love english. I don't think it's cool, if anything I like unreadable foreign words more attractive.
After class Asuka and I went to the library.
She showed me quite a lot of photos of her friends from her mobile phone.
I tried to teach her some Alice Springs dialect and some fairly common Australian phrases. We laughed together. She also told me how to say 'bloody' in Japanese. There's an equivalent called 'cho' and goes in front of adjectives in. I think it's a pretty useful colloquial phrase! Bloody oath mate!
I can't wait till I go to Japan next year. Hopefully, I'll go someplace near Sendai. Asuka's hometown sounds really interesting. And I hear the foods great. Yummo.
