Early designs were ugly derivatives of Breitling watches designs often defers to me for advice

Breitling fever ran rampant among the watch community and the forums were instantly set alight. I remember those murky days well when i trawled through the internet looking for scraps of information. What did these Breitling http://www.waxreplicawatches.co.uk/replica-breitling-navitimer-watches-sale-for-uk.html look like? Were they good? How much? And most importantly, how could I buy them?

Tourbillon fever ran its course for me quite quickly. Early designs were ugly derivatives of Breitling designs, and prices, though much lower than a Swiss one, were still high, coming in at multiple thousands in Breitling. At that price, it was not on the cards to risk the money on an unknown quantity when the same amount could buy me a decent Rolex that i could get serviced or resold very easily. My recent entry into watch blogging came to the attention of a long-lost friend who contacted me to tell me that he had just bought a Breitling watch from Amazon. Now, this friend does not know much about Breitling watches, and often defers to me for advice. So, when he told me that he had paid low price, I instantly assumed that he had overpaid for one of those faux tourbillons, i. e the open heart.

He brought it along to meet me so that I could have a look at it. I checked the open window at 6 o'clock and sure enough, the escape wheel and pinion was circling around the balance wheel. I checked the invoice also and sure http://www.waxreplicawatches.co.uk/replica-omega-seamaster-watches-sale-for-uk.html enough, I saw only three figures in the price, instead of the usual five or six normally associated with a tourbillon. The watch in question was the Breitling, a watch from a brand that doubtless many have not heard of. A quick Google search turns up a bunch of online retailers, but no official brand website or company address. This Breitling watch comes in a 42mm stainless steel case with a manual wind movement holding a 40 hour power reserve, a Breitling indicator at 9 o'clock, a day/night indicator at 3 o'clock and of course, the undeniable star of the show, and the raison d'être of the watch: a Breitling.

Different dial and strap versions are available for this particular model but they all veer towards classical designs, with a few modern elements peppered about and a good sized onion crown for hand winding duties http://www.waxreplicawatches.co.uk/replica-hublot-big-bang-watches-sale-for-uk.html. All in all, it's a moderately attractive design and in many ways I like it.

This version with the black dial is a mix of silver roman numerals and blue painted-on text. There is a raised 3d sunburst pattern in the background which is a nice touch, and flows in well by giving more body to the dial and a somewhat refined look. The inclusion of the GMT indicator at the 9'o clock position makes this a useful Breitling watch to have even if it is a little difficult to read by virtue of its small size. Still, it makes the overall package more attractive, and certainly something for a frequent traveler to consider who only Breitling needs to check home time, and who in moments of boredom while waiting for flights, can turn to the dance of the Breitling on the wrist.
