A jury in the western American state of California has found musician Michael Jackson not guilty of sex acts with children. The jury announced the decision after seven days of discussions. The trial lasted for three and a half months. The jury found Mr. Jackson not guilty of giving alcohol to a thirteen-year-old boy and then attempting sex acts with him. The jury also found Mr. Jackson not guilty of holding the boy's family at his large home. Government lawyers said Mr. Jackson had a history of sexual wrongdoing with young boys. The musician and performer denied the charges.


Perfect schools

John Marsden-who is a popular Australian children's auther is going to open his perfect school.
(Below is from an interview with John Marsden who is an author and a reporter.)

As John says, schools apt to be had good image, but it is important to look deeper, for example, interacting with teachers and students during recess and lunchtime.
He wrote sbout the real issues of adolescence by real voice, so his books are popular.
In his opinion, Australian private schools are overbeared by strict rules. It is important to having alliance between abults and children.
For 25 years he has visiting thousands of Australian schools. By the experiences he is going to make his private school.
"We need pay attention of environment. I want to be my school is full of surprises and got a sence of humour. Also I hope the school where we say 'yes' to things instead of 'no'". He said.

French President Jacques Chirac will speak to his nation Tuesday night. He is expected to say what steps he will take after French voters rejected the proposed constitution for the European Union. The vote was held Sunday. Mr. Chirac met with Interior Minister Dominique de Villepin and other political officials Monday. The French leader was expected to ask one of them to form a new government. French Prime Minister Jean-Pierre Raffarin is likely to resign over the vote.
