One week later

It's been a week today since Yuki left my home. His "room" (a space with a bed in it and curtains around it) is empty, has been for the past week. At first it was so hard for me - everyone kept saying that I was so brave. Secretly, I was staring at his picture - the one of him at karaoke I took before he moved to my house - and crying.
It's so hard for me to believe it's really been a week, but I'm also really happy - if a week can go this fast, what about a month or two? Before I know it, I'll be in Japan again and he'll be there to greet me at the airport.
I called him tonight, just to see how he was after his first week back home. It felt so good to hear his voice and to hear that everything is going well for him. Even his shoulder has started to heal. Talking to him has made me feel like trying harder over these next few months, so that I'll be ready to see his smiling face again at that airport.
