Apparently, Taiwanese people like to go hiking. How sickningly healthy they are. Last weekend, I tagged along for a short hike at a nearby temple infested mountain.
We met at
O six hundred to head off to this mountain.

Yes, i give you permission to call me crazy. I'm actually quite proud of myself for not chickening out. The mountain was ... uh ... the first half was constantly climbing up stone steps, and I must admit I felt like a weakling, and realised how much the biking at UCSB was useful ... until we got to the slopes. Cheers for the UCSB bicycle training!
Don't worry, I haven't become this health and exercise freak ... the real reason we went were to
steal enjoy the nature's bounty at this Thanksgiving time and taste some of the oranges that
we yanked off trees happened to fall into our hands. Some of the oranges were a bit dry, but for the most part, it was on the tangy sour side - just the way I like it. Yum.
By the way.
Fred: Taiwan mosquitoes are a year-round phenomenon, and I am still the Flavour of the Month. I shall be the Flavour of the Month every month as long as I stay in Taiwan. Never thought in a million LIGHT years that popularity would come in a form such as this. ... I knew that the RedCross was after my blood every 56 days, but these winged things want my blood 24/7/365.
They better not give me malaria. That's definitely NOT on my Christmas list.
