It's not often that celebrities are pictured on the red carpet wearing High Street creations. But when it comes to Mary Katrantzou for Topshop, they are no ordinary dresses.Alesha Dixon, model Poppy Delevigne and Made in Chelsea star Amber Atherton are just three of the stars who are fans of the new collaboration.Alesha was spotted wearing the £350 printed dress by the Greek designer, famed for her vibrant prints, for auditions of Britain's Got Talent.Earlier this month, model Poppy wore the same frock on the red carpet of the Elle Style Awards.
Recently, Amber was wearing hers on the front row of Fashion East. The dress, which went on sale last week, has already sold out in stores and online.'It's very exciting to work with Topshop for our third range together.'They've been so supportive of my work from the very beginning and this range will be the most ambitious one we've done and the most fun! My idea behind the collaboration was to design for the Topshop girl a range that is as close to the aesthetic of my mainline as possible, with great control over the quality of design and production.
'I can't wait to see the Topshop girls in the bowl dresses and for the most daring to see them try the print on print layering!'Mary Katrantzou's label has gone from strenght to strength since launching in 2008.Mary studied at Rhode Island School of Design before transferring to Central St Martins to complete a BA and then an MA in Textile Design. With sponsorship from Topshop New Generation funding, she has shown her own mainline collection during London Fashion Week for the last five seasons, and last year won the Swiss Textile award and this year the UKTI award. The designer has enlisted the support of fashion's elite - including U.S Vogue editor Anna Wintour, who attended the show today - as did Alexa Chung.Kate Middleton's dress style has become nearly as iconic as Princess Diana's was. The world is eagerly waiting to see what else Kate has in her closet for 2012. Now, the world may get a hint. One of her favorite designers, Daniella Helayel's Issa, blew away the crowd during his London show on Sunday night. Issa incorporated bold bright primary colors into his designs while keeping the whole collection cohesive with an eastern feel.
