I don't usually make new year resolutions, but maybe I should make it a goal to write on here more often

anyway, recap of the past week or so....

since I had my days switched for Christmas, chef let me have New Years Eve and New Years Day off (well, it's my usual Saturday-Sunday weekend anyway...)
so on the 31st, I went for lunch at Campagnolo Roma with sissy and mama~~ mmmm.... their pizza is sooooo good....
and then I went home and cooked for that night's pot luck and got ready to go out
mama and papa dropped me off in downtown since I wanted to drop off a bottle of sparkling wine at work
my co-worker was hosting a party at her place but I felt kinda bad for not going so I wanted to drop something off for them
and it was kinda embarrassing cuz it was the first time they've ever seen me with makeup on... and lots of it
I think some of the front staff didn't recognize me at first OTL
then I made my way to Kaworu's place
ate, drank, played games, and chatted with everybody... and we almost misssed the count down, lol
a few of us continued to drink since we were staying over and we didn't sleep til about 5am...
lol, I think only me and ミキ were hung over the next day
I ended up sleeping for most of New Years day and had hot pot at home~~

we had our Christmas Dinner for work on January 2nd~~
I started work at 9am and we were done cleaning and everything by 4:30pm.. which felt kinda weird
at first I was gonna go home for a little bit but then I got lazy and went to my co-worker's place to get ready
I dressed pretty plain compared to everybody else (cuz I'm a lazy hobo) so I just french braided my hair and put on contacts/make up
we went to Cin Cin and the dinner was pretty good~
I stayed til about 11:45pm and headed home but a lot of my co-workers went out for more drinks afterwards since a few of them were off the next day... I heard some pretty funny stories about it the next day...



I met up with M門さん in downtown yesterday since she is heading back to Japan today
we went to Shangri-la for tea and chatted for a few hours~~
and then I totally failed at grabbing the bill!!!! Nooooooooo.....
just you wait, M門さん!! I'll get that damn CMA and visit you in Japan!!



after we parted ways, I stayed in downtown for a bit more and went shopping
M門さん mentioned that Anna Sui had a bag as a gift for purchases over $60 so I went to Sears to check it out
there wasn't really anything in particular that I wanted... and then the girl at the counter suggested that I try their powder foundation
I was kinda iffy about it but after she took off my make-up and tried it on me, I ended up getting it, lol
and I get a free mini facial in 2 weeks~~

it feels like it's been such a long time since I last went boxing day shopping... probably cuz i'm usually in Hong Kong for Christmas and last year I was still in Paris... by myself

anyway, woke up at 6:45am and me, mama, and sissy headed downtown around 7:20am
Holt Renfrew opened at 7am... and we kinda regretted not going earlier... oh well
walked around Pacific Center for a bit and then we went for lunch at Cactus Club



Afterwards I walked around on Robson and Granville by myself since mama and sissy had other things to do later in the day
It was cold and rainy outside so I ended up going to Bel Cafe at Rosewood Hotel Georgia
I got a hot chocolate.... but it was kinda gross.... how disappointing

wow... it's finally December 25th....
it's weird, up until yesterday it didn't feel like it was nearing Christmas... haha, probably cuz work has been so crazy and I've been so dead tired all the time

I had to start work at 9am on Friday cuz there were so many orders to fill
it wasn't that bad since it was just 3 hours earlier than my usual shift, but some of my co-workers started at 3am!! Crazy!!
the kitchen was sooooo full of people... it was so hard to get things done but I left at around 9:45pm
I had to work on Saturday too but it was actually less crazy than Friday, probably because we already finished the orders on Friday and we were just going to sell whatever we made
haha, the 3 of us on macaron have been so tired for the past few days so we were kinda crazy on Friday and Saturday
it was nice though, we were all tired and rushing to finish things but we had a lot of laughs... maybe too many cuz sometimes I was laughing so hard that I didn't have enough strength in my arm to pipe
I heard that from Monday-Saturday, we sold about 12, 000 macarons... my arm feels like it's dying right now...
one of my co-workers bought a bunch of santa hats for us so almost all of us wore them while we worked!
at the end of the day, Chef and one of the owners bought beer and wine for us

we finished at around 5pm and M門さん came to the shop to find me !!
OMGGGGGGGGG..... I can't believe it's been 2.5 years since we've seen each other
it's weird though, when we talk it doesn't feel like it's been that long....
we headed to Adrenaline so that she could get her helix pierced but it turned out that they closed at 5pm
so then we took the bus to my place for Christmas dinner with my family + relatives~~

Ate so much food... too much food....
after everybody left I passed out on the couch and then went back upstairs to my bed
and then I woke up super late.. ahaha... everybody was waiting for me to open presents...
Afterwards we ate leftovers for lunch (yummmmm~~) and I fell asleep on the couch again OTL



all in all, other than my arm being really stiff and sore from work, I had a lot of fun this Christmas

omgggggggg.... it's so crazy at work right now
there are more people scheduled to work but there's not enough space and equipment so it feels so inefficient
some of my co-workers are going to work at 3am today and I'm going in at 9am even though i left work at 10:30pm
and I need to work 6 days in a row cuz another girl is getting the 24th and 25th off...
... I can't wait til Christmas is over

I don't know why, but my brain feels really slow today
maybe it's cuz i've slept too much this weekend....? oh well, it was nice to catch up on sleep...

woke up earlier on Friday morning cuz mama wanted to go shopping in downtown
there was a sale at Betsey Johnson so I wanted to check it out before going to work
didn't find anything there so we headed to Pacific Center... and there was a sale at Browns Shoes!
I found a pair of Stuart Weitzman black leather wedges~~~
They're super plain but soooooo comfortable!! I love them



Saturday was spent Christmas shopping in downtown
haha, I managed to get almost all my shopping done without buying anything for myself~
and then I met up with mama, papa, sissy, and Big Toe for dinner at The Keg
MEEAAAAAAAAATTTTTTTTTTTT

went to Campagnolo Roma for lunch with mama and papa today
we shared a pizza Diavola and pizza Uovo... soooooooo good



lol, I found this pack of enoki mushrooms in the fridge while I was looking for ginger
it's so cute....
